Alejandro M. / Washington, DC

Our family lives in a late 19th-century home in Georgetown, in Washington, D.C.  Our home was in need of a variety of work, from some substantial infrastructure improvements ( a new heating and air system, for example) to remodeling of the kitchen and one bathroom, to maintenance work on both the interior and exterior of the home.  We wanted a contractor who could oversee all of the work, regardless of its complexity or simplicity, who could perform a great deal of the work himself, and who was honest, timely, and reliable.  We also wanted someone who took pride in the quality of his work.

After conducting several interviews, we hired Timothy Faff and his firm, Precision Contractors.  We were impressed with Tim’s ideas for our project, his candid assessment of the anticipated schedule and expense, and his deep knowledge of home construction and all aspects of such work.  Tim and his team have exceeded our highest expectations and hopes.  Simply put, he and his team are absolutely phenomenal.  They are the very best.

Tim and his team have informed us in advance of each step of the project what we can expect, what the challenges are and what is the best way to address them, how much it will cost, how long it will take, and what are the options and the pros and cons of each option.  We have made our decisions in partnership with Tim, trusting and following his advice each step of the way.  The work has been superb, it has been performed on time, every member of the team is kind and considerate, subcontractors are fantastic, everyone takes great care of our house and how they treat it, the costing and pricing is fair and just as represented, and we have been incredibly happy with the results.

In addition to his excellent craftsmanship and professionalism, one of Tim’s outstanding qualities is his creativity.  When we interviewed different contractors we were told that our 200+ year-old wood floors could not be salvaged and we would need to replace them throughout the house at considerable cost.  Tim studied our floors, researched different options, and found an economic way to repair them at modest cost.  He found 240 year-old wood to replace the few strips that indeed could not be salvaged, but he identified a way to refinish the remaining parts.  Our floors look beautiful.

Tim is a master craftsman and the consummate professional.  If you have a remodeling project, new construction, or home repairs big and small, look no further than Timothy Faff and his firm, Precision Contractors.  You will have the best and strongest partnership and, like us, you will feel as though you have new members of the family who have helped make your home beautiful and everything you want it to be.

Stephen Terhune, Architect

As an architect, I’d like to give this company 10 stars. I have had few experiences with contractors as beneficial as I have had with Precision. Tim and Pete are two of the most knowledgeable individuals I know regarding all aspects of the project, and pure pleasure to work with.

They ask all the right questions and always have a good answer to give to me and my clients. If you want the highest quality framing, trim, exterior and interior finishes, and overall management of your project, I highly recommend them. Their trim work alone is crafted to perfection.

We recently worked together on 2 very large and intricate residential projects, and I look forward to many more in the future.

Craig R. / Easton, MD

Precision Contractors handled everything from the framing of the house to build outs, trim and finishes. They even handled some of the design. Tim and his entire crew were very personable and delivered some of the best workmanship I have ever seen.
